The American President is in. You know the one I’m talking about. He’s promised to make “green” his new mantra. Starting off with green parties (the balls last night), Obama is embarking on a “rebuild America” project which includes moving jobs from old industries which are dying, to new ones which are thriving. OK thriving is a big word in the current economic crisis. Perhaps a better way of writing it is that he wishes to move jobs into the industries of the future. Renewable Energy is a big one in his mind, and he is listening to none other than Al Gore for advise.
Take solace that within a few weeks you will hear a lot about solar energy and the desire of the new administration to increase spending in it. Most will come as power plant type of investment, yet that will help drive demand which right now has stalled due to German and Spanish incentive issues. With renewed “energy”, we’ll see the effect of the new administration trickle down across all spectra of the industry.
Yet as important, consumer mentality will continue to move towards seeking “green” solutions for power, lightings, heating, etc.. and that will only help ICP Solar move more product, and other players in this industry to reposition their messages.
