An article posted today lends credence to some of the early adopter frustration at the availability of EV chargers, both private and public.
With 1600 Nissan Leafs about to come off a boat, and tens of thousands of GM Volts coming off local production lines, the race to satisfy the recharging requirements of these clients is on.
What is interesting is that in some cases, the cars are in advance of the chargers, and in others, the chargers are in advance of any measurable number of cars. I suspect that some of the issues that a “greenzone by sunlogics” solar powered charging station will address are clearly going to be an important point for GM and others to consider when talking to an eager public that wants answers and solutions.
I keep coming back to what Apple does so well…the interface, the interplay and the ecosystem. Call me crazy, yet the first companies to get those right are going to be the big winners in this field.
This solar blog writer is aching to be able to get his hands on an EV for his own use…guess it doesn’t hurt that I drive a Chevrolet Equinox now…did somebody say “trade in”???
Stay tuned…
